Bio
Jean-Eric Vergne “JEV” has always steered his career in the fast lane; achieving an impressive track record of successes to date. JEV is unique in being the only driver to race for three different Formula E teams. These have included Andretti in his debut season (2014) before switching to Virgin Racing for his second campaign and then moving for a third season to DS Techeetah. He has been Champion or Vice-Champion in every category in which he competed before entering Formula One.
JEV is the first FIA Formula E Double World Champion having won the Season 4 (2017/18) and Season 5 (2018/19) FIA Formula E Championship back to back. He was also instrumental in steering his team, DS Techeetah, to winning the FIA Formula E Team Championship consecutively in Season 5 and 6. Since joining Formula E in 2015, JEV has achieved an impressive nine wins, twenty-three podiums and eleven pole positions.
JEV has continued to race in ELMS and the FIA World Endurance Championship, having won the ELMS Championship in 2018 and achieving an impressive win at Le Mans 24 hours (which was later declassified due to a technical infringement by the team).
Prior to JEV’s career in Formula E, he spent three years as official driver of Toro Rosso Formula One Team, where he left with more points than any other Toro Rosso driver at the time.
He is currently sponsored by Hugo Boss, Tag Heuer and DS Automobiles. He is also one of five drivers in Leonardo DiCaprio’s new film about Formula E, ‘And We Go Green’.
