Bio
British racing driver, Sam Bird, has embarked on his seventh season in Formula E having recently joined the British manufacturing giant – Jaguar Racing – and won his first race with the team on his second outing in Riyadh in February 2021.
Bird spent six seasons racing for Envision Virgin in the FIA Formula E Championship and achieved nine wins and ten podium places with the team. He is the only Formula E driver to have won a race in every Formula E season to date, including an astonishing double win in New York (2017), arguably the highlight of his all-electric racing career.
Sam won the FIA World Endurance Championship in LMP2 in 2015 before moving to GTE Pro as a Ferrari factory driver.
