Tommy Milner is an American professional driver currently racing for Corvette Racing. Tommy’s passion for cars started at a very young age watching his father’s race team, Tom Milner Racing and later PTG.
Tommy’s passion for driving started at the age of 14, in karting. In 2004, he was selected as one of six North American drivers to be a Formula BMW USA Jr. Driver. That same year, driving a third car for BMW Team PTG, he secured his first pole position in his first sports car race at Virginia International Raceway. Another pole position came quickly at the final race of the Grand-AM season. Tommy and his teammate took the win at Fontana Speedway.
Tommy has competed at some of the world’s greatest sports car races. The highlight of his career being a win at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2011 for Corvette Racing. In 2012, still with Corvette Racing, Tommy earned his first win the ALMS and secured the GT Championship with teammate Oliver Gavin. Chevrolet also captured the Manufacturer’s and Team Championship titles.
With previous factory affiliated teams, Rahal BMW and Panoz, Tommy helped BMW win the Manufacturer’s Championship in 2010 and finished 3rd in the driver points.
Outside of racing, Tommy follows DC area sports teams closely and enjoys playing sports and staying active with various activities including soccer, lacrosse, and anything that goes fast. He also has interests in photography and architecture.
